a b o u t

Keith Evan Green is an American drummer and percussionist based
in Ithaca, New York. He plays inspired music of all
styles, with a focus on small group jazz.

Green studied drums and percussion with Glenn
Weber of the NJ School of Percussion, and began
his university studies as a music major at Northwestern
University. In his early years as a percussionist,
Green performed in the New Jersey All-State Band
and in the orchestra of Fairleigh Dickinson University
(which performed at Carnegie Hall during his tenure).
At the same time, he played drums throughout the NY-
metro area with the band of pianist Larry Ferrara who
became head of music performance at NYU.

While advancing a career outside music, as professor
at Cornell University, Green continues to advance his
drumming, performing across New York state as a
member of ensembles led by jazz saxophonist
Jesse Collins, singer Diana Leigh, and guitarist
Dave Richman.
